MODERN TRADITIONAL

The Modern Traditional style combines contemporary accents with classic elements and has a more "cozy" feel. Key characteristics of this style include:
  • Soft lines and shapes: Often, there are smooth, rounded silhouettes, giving the room a relaxed atmosphere.
  • Natural materials: A focus on natural wood, fabrics (linen, cotton), and elements reminiscent of nature.
  • Palette: Neutral and muted colors — beige, cream, grey — to create a sense of warmth and tranquility.
  • Decor and accessories: Artwork, traditional patterns in textiles, porcelain or ceramic pieces, sometimes vintage or distressed items.

Modern Traditional often resembles farmhouse style, but with more modern elements and without a strongly rustic vibe. This style appears less formal and more comfortable than Modern Classic.

MODERN CLASSIC

Modern Classic combines elements of classic design with contemporary touches, yet it retains elegance and sophistication. The main features of this style include:
  • Clean lines: Unlike Modern Traditional, the lines here are more defined and symmetrical, adding a sense of formality.
  • Classical details: Architectural elements like moldings, columns, and wall or ceiling trim add a sense of luxury and grandeur.
  • Subtle color palette: Also a neutral palette, but it can include more saturated accents — deep gray, navy blue, emerald green.
  • Materials and textures: Marble, brass, velvet, and silk — more luxurious materials than in Modern Traditional, giving a chic feel to the interior.
  • Furniture and decor: Furniture tends to be more structured and symmetrical. Decor items are minimal yet high-quality, such as large mirrors, classic artwork, or small sculptures.

Modern Classic, unlike Modern Traditional, looks more formal and structured, aiming for balanced symmetry and a "timeless" feel.

Visual Distinctions
  • Formality and symmetry: Modern Classic aims for greater formality, clean lines, and symmetry. Modern Traditional is more relaxed and cozy, without strict adherence to symmetry.
  • Materials and decor: Modern Classic often includes marble, brass, and luxury fabrics (velvet, silk), while Modern Traditional emphasizes simple, natural materials (wood, ceramics, cotton).
  • Architectural details: Modern Classic incorporates classic architectural elements (moldings, columns, archways), whereas Modern Traditional focuses more on textured surfaces and cozy decor rather than strict forms and lines..
